How it started

During the second Covid-19 wave in April 2021, alumni of the Veterinary College, Bengaluru (6 series, 1986–1991), came together as the "Reminiscence Batch" to support underprivileged people in crisis. Guided by Dr. Renukaradhya Gourapura and many like‑minded classmates, and led from the front by Col. Jagdish M (Retd) and Dr Sridharamurthy S.R. PhD, the group quickly mobilized resources, purchased oxygen concentrators, and organized critical logistics to reach patients despite lockdowns.

By the end of April 2021, 62 batchmates formed the Reminiscence Welfare Trust (RWT), each contributing a minimum of ₹5,000. Before formal registration, donations were routed through a partner NGO account to accelerate relief. What began as emergency Covid care soon expanded into sustained support for education, farming, animal husbandry, disability assistance, and community health.

What we do

From emergency COVID relief to sustained education support, we empower communities across Karnataka through targeted interventions in healthcare, education, and livelihoods.

Procured and hand-carried oxygen concentrators across districts despite lockdowns.
Printed and distributed Kannada awareness pamphlets, masks, and sanitizers via veterinary hospitals statewide.
Supported patients and families financially during peak crisis.

Paid school/college fees, uniforms, laptops, and learning aids for bright students in need.
Sustained support for orphaned and single‑parent households.
Funded training for veterinarians and digital classroom equipment.

Looking ahead to 2026: We expand into environmental programs including pollution control, tree planting, water conservation, and carbon reduction to save our planet.
